Making Assessments Accountable to Every Student

Показать описание
An assessment strategy should be accountable to each student. Our students are growing and becoming, and we must remember that learning is formative. Assessments can offer us the opportunity to understand the foundation from which we build, interrupt the negative and seize the possibilities.
“How do we give a complete picture of the students that we serve?” CEO Osarugue “Michelle” Odemwingie asked the audience at the Council of Chief State School Officers' National Conference on Student Assessment (NCSA) this summer. Odemwingie describes how educators can use data and assessments actively, adaptively—formatively.
Hear her explain why today’s students and educators need formative, flexible and reflective assessments, and why analyzing your assessment strategy can lead to empowering each student in their education. The conversation provides educators with questions to ask their teams and themselves as they begin assessing accountability in the assessment process and student-centered learning.
