I stumbled upon his music after I heard an interview he did on mental illness. I never heard another person describe living with "darkness that will never go away, and learning to live with it." I've struggled with this since I was 14. His music really just deeply connected with things I felt myself over the years. The first few lines of this song I was like holy shit dove right into some horrible trauma. He's an amazing artist with such a rare ability to convey messages that people need to hear. In his interviews he has so much insight, and understanding, and genuine love and kindness. I've been struggling horribly this year dealing with a special needs child, and my mom and grandma dealing with stage 4 cancer. His music came about when I felt like I was drowning. I put his music on and feel like I can keep my head up. 🖤🩶🩶
