Action Camera Macro Lens Replacement

I bought an EKEN H9 Sport Action Camera and it arrived in undamaged packaging but the lens was cracked. I decided to change the lens out with a manual zoom lens so that I can do macro time lapse videos. The reason I did not replace with the same lens was that the fixed lens was too wide (170 degrees) and did not focus close enough to get a good up close shot. I thought that the IR correction meant that it had an IR-cut filter installed, but that was not true. So I ended up pulling the old IR filter from the original lens to correct for that issue. That solved the purple almost pink hue that was in the image after replacing the lens.
I paid about $14.00 for the new lens. This is the lens that I bought:

Sorry about the hum in the audio, I am not sure where that came from in this video. Also I got a few close ups of my hand and missed the subject with the camera. I also thought I would try a full length video since all of my latest videos have been very short. There are plenty of parts where you have to bear with me since this is the first time I have taken this camera apart and had to figure it out as I went.

That is a nice hack for the camera, good job. It looks a lot like those GoPro, either way you are brave for opening it and modify it. Take care big like on this video #17
