How to Transition Kindergarten Students From Letter Sounds to Reading CVC Words

Kindergarten is such a special year, and so much happens! Many of your Kindergarten students are mastering letters and letter sounds. But what about actually reading and writing CVC words? It's a huge shift to go from individual letters to entire words!

I home school my 10 yr old in the spectrum since my daughter was diagnosed with breasts cancer. I've researched so many websites. I'm so blessed to have found you. Although I've gotten through a lot of what you've covered learning the reason why phonics is taught in a certain way makes total sense to me now. Yes. Reading tutor for 2k girls and 2 2nd boys. The girls are nearly at this point-getting them to recognize letter apart from the alphabet song, and sounds. Thank you for your work
