Great video. Nice to see such enthusiasm and knowledge! I had bought a1989 SWB 230GE for my 18 year old to drive around London with L-Plates. A fun 4x4 but the 230 @ 2300cc @ automatic is snail slow. We sold it before it reached the 35 year point since we got tired of the waiting. Rust is a problem in the body. Engine parts supply is very good - since standard Mercedes Engine.

Better to have this nice vintage G-Wagen in good condition rather than the latest one, in my opinion. This 1982 model is really what a G-Wagen is supposed to be. It's definitely a cool SUV 👍

You are half right if you said military. SAF uses G wagons too. Of course the toned down G professional or even something as old as this
