I feel like they are missing the point. There are COD fans out there, like me, that don’t like multiplayer. I play COD for the campaign, plain and simple. Sure I’ll dabble in multiplayer and zombies but I don’t stick with it. I’ve played the beta for Blackout and, quite frankly, it’s gotten boring after a few games. This will be the first COD game I don’t buy, which is disappointing.

When are game companies going to learn, we'd rather just be told the truth then lied to, we are not stupid so don't treat us like that. There was a campaign that got scrapped and turned into a "solo mode with narrative elements" and the time and effort from the campaign went into Blackout. I'm totally okay with that but I'm not okay with being lied to.

Treyarch got rid of campaign because they can't stuff micro transactions into it.

So, they just scrapped it, instead of working hard to create a campaign that people wanted to play. That is lazy, and they're still charging full price. Less development time and cost, same old $60.

Don't forget, Fortnite is a free to play game, and BO4 will probably be more micro-transactiony than Fortnite.

Just tell the truth, you didn’t want to make a campaign, and for fairly good reasons; you focused on making Blackout and new zombies maps, as well as making multiplayer a main focus. Stop beating around the bush and just own it, you didn’t want to make a campaign.

Side note: Not to mention all the hate that was received from black ops III’s campaign that sucked and no one liked. I’m sure you all just thought screw the campaign then.

I love Treyarch and all of their entries into CoD, but I don't believe this for a second. Activision probably told them to scrap it because it was 'way out there' and probably too complex, narratively, for general audiences. If the leaks were true about time travel being a core part of the story, I'd say this was definitely the case.

Also just imagine the response from fans if time travel was introduced, probably more dislikes than the IW trailer, which is just sad.
