Rik wrote this song for his aunt who was fighting cancer at the time.

The US Festival, Sunday May 29, 1983, Devore, California. That’s the desert of San Bernardino county. I was at the show just turned 17 the week before. This was day two, heavy metal day, of a three day festival. 350, 000+ metalheads rocking out in the desert. I was about 15 to 20 people from the front on the bass players side of the stage underneath the water cannons. The lineup that day was Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Triumph, Scorpions and Van Halen closed the show. Triumph was the best band that day followed by the Scorpions and Judas Priest. Best concert and biggest party of my lifetime. Thank you for bringing back some great memories.

This is why people say they miss the good old days.

Triumph was a last minute replacement / addition to this music festival. A somewhat lesser known band from Canada, and stole the show.

"Lay it on the Line" is another great one by Triumph.
A lot of people tried to compare them to Rush because they're both three piece bands from Canada, but Rush was progressive rock, and these guys were more just straight rock 'n roll.

Not a Christian group per se but definitely the good guys with great attitude. Classic Canadian Rockers. Have a great day guys. I believe this song was inspired by a loved ones fight with cancer.

One of the best bands of the day. Rik Emmett was a beast on guitar. They generally wrote about positive stuff, which was not that common for other bands at the time. Up next, try "Lay It On The Line" from the same concert.
