Rosie threw her father away in favour of her mother and stepfather who had not been in her life while she was growing up. Rosie chose her wealthy stepfather over OP who had loved and cared for her after her mother had run off and even banned him from her wedding at their request. She can't expect OP to welcome her home with open arms. I have no sympathy for Rosie. She chose to cheat on her fiance and it's her fault that he broke up with her. Actions have consequences, and Rosie must face the consequences of her actions. OP was right to give the house to his neice.
