The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit alum recalled his initial impression of his wife to Your Tango in September 2006, saying "This [is someone] I gotta meet." When Christopher appeared in an HBO series that Sherman worked on the production design for in 1989, the two first met. She had a boyfriend at the time, despite the fact that the Washington, D.C. native thought his future wife was "cool, funny, and sexy" right away. It took the couple another two years to start dating.
