Hello, Enjoyed your videos. I have a planetary polisher with three five inch heads, a DS3011. The machine only weighs thirty pounds and the Fein grinder powering it is about 2 HP.

I’ve been experimenting with discs both wet and dry with vast array of results. The wet counter top/ stone pads seem to work well up to 800 but after that the machine bogs down due to absence of water, part of that is a design difficulty with planetary’s. Tried switching to wet or dry floor pads similar to your hybrids where more water can get underneath the pad but the resin of those is so hard that there’s little release or polish as, I’d surmise, they’re more designed to be under a machine that weighs 100 plus lbs. with a smaller machine that would mean exerting that much pressure while polishing or grinding and going beyond the power units ability. Would these pads you have work on a smaller lighter machine?
