Where is that function? live preview doesn't work until i save the file. Tell me the option

Opened new file and saved it as index.html and when i try live preview it says "Open an html file or make sure there is an index.html file in your project in order to launch live preview". (what does this mean?)This is where i'am stucked. Anyone?
