Flowers don't grow at the same rate. But they bloom just as beautifully <3 Remember this

I will like to tell the young fella to be patient, his time will come if he stay with it. Nothing happens overnight.

17 year old producer right here! a great way to get some notoriety is go to concerts and other events with higher ups attending. that's how I met madeon and how I got some exposure in seattle.

also, if you think it's difficult at 13, wait 20 years, it also is difficult as you get older (like 33+)... keep having fun with music and doing good stuff and opportunities will open up. you will be ok.

The fact that you valued the opinion of someone this young makes you a genius

Hey TLM and you guys.
I've been watching a lot of your videos for the past years and I've always appreciated how you suggest people to take a step back and look at the big picture and it feels like you didn't do it at all in this video. I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed.
To this 13 years old dj/producer and all the other young ones I'd like to say: stop focusing on the numbers. Not because those might be fake, but because it shouldn't be a goal in itself. If you want to succeed just to be famous, try to get selected for a TV reality show of some kind. If you want to succeed because your music is good, focus on making your music good. Try to talk with people that actually know something. The advice from a much older and experienced DJ would have way more value than thousands of likes on your Soundcloud account.
I've made this mistake myself the previous years and I realized how shallow it is. Working on your e-fame won't make your music sound any better.
It sure is nice, when you've spent plenty of hours working on a track, to have people acknowledging its quality but one click on the internet doesn't cost much and won't tell you which part they liked, what they didn't, how you could get better etc.
Anyway, keep up the good work TLM and thanks for all the good stuff you've brought us!

I was a young dj as well in Trinidad... its tough out here to get a break.... but never the less, u have to start small... small parties, functions, help set up systems of over dj's.. etc.. and work your way up... is only when promoters see you can handle a event well then u will get a big gig... i never made it to the biggest of stages.... but being humble i got to dj for lots of big ppl like government minsters, millionaires private so sometimes being small and humble u can get into a market that is consider the "rich and famous so u not being a dj in main club is not the end of the small and work your way up"

I posted many songs on soundcloud and most of them get around 30 plays and some likes, I asked a channel if he did want to release a new track of me. that account had 100 followers and I have 280 but he had partners, so he released my track and my track has 370 plays now and 19reposts and it's still get more plays

Great Feedback Dj TLM

As you said they should not really focus on numbers and keep what they doin and make sure they doin it right and the rest will come along.

I've been djing for couple of years now and i have lots of friends who love my work and they do support me a lot which keeps me positive about what I'm doing even thou i really don't have much followers on the social media no matter where.

To all young djs and Producers, DON'T compare your self with Fake DJ's with lots of followers on social media!! instead improve your self and focus more on what you want to achieve.

Anyway thank you DJ TLM for your great videos, feedback and advice's :)
I'm a big fan of yours bro

Thanks!

One of your realist vids. This one is epic wisdom about social media. It's like that chain smokers intro where the girl is saying the other girl bought her Twitter followers. So true.

the 1st time i started djing 2011 was the same its really give you a negative vibe seen other djs with same experience going fast, what i did was i believed on myself like i am the best and i really really worked hard, almost 8 hours with my controller or cdjs the rest on my computer looking for something new, i spent a lot to look at the bigger djs playing at clubs, make a detailed note here i am gigs at one of the biggest clubs in swiss, sometimes i get booked tuesday till sunday, WORK HARD .

DJ TLM...I've been watching your videos for quite some time now, and I must say that the way you take the time to share your experiences and training with the DJ Enthusiasts, I must commend you for being the good spirited, caring young man that this world needs more of. If only we as a people can share our knowledge, resources etc... this world would be a much better place. Keep being the human being that you are.

Totally agree. Nowadays many of the likes and followers and view counts might not be real. Even instagram followers can be bought... it’s furstrating but it’s the truth....

This was a great video, I feel what this kid was saying I think when everybody is starting out and you don't get the reaction you think you deserve it gets discouraging but the thing is you have to stick with it to grow something. I think with the internet age where everything just comes so easy, we forget that the people who are on top made sacrifices and it took a lot of hard work to get there.
