Mystic, CT - Modular Retaining Wall, Stairs, Drainage

Client had (2) failing concrete walls on either side of their driveway that needed replacement. TJB-INC designed and constructed new modular block retaining walls and included a set of steps for access to the rear yard. We also pushed the left side wall back 8" to allow more room for parking. In doing this we found the sewer pipe was not installed correctly and ran right through where the stairs were to be installed. Our skilled craftsman were able to build the staircase around the exposed sewer pipe as well as creating a drainage solution for the gutter downspout water.

From May 1 – November 1, bring some Cheerios (Honey Nut is their favorite) to hand feed our friendly large Koi fish who will greet you by the stone bridge that crosses over one of our streams. Some of the Koi are over 20” long. (Don’t worry, they don’t have any teeth!) The Koi fish will suck the food from your hand like a vacuum cleaner. It will be an interaction with fish that the average person has never experienced. Great for kids & adults alike! (Note: If you bring younger children, please be sure they do not throw any rocks at the fish because it can possible severely injure or kill the fish.)
