Travis shows us the process of Wringing Mitutoyo Gauge Blocks to dial in a Snap Gauge. This process is used to measure a specific tolerances on a part.

This is one of the most amazing videos. No joke. I'm fascinated by gauge blocks to begin with, but seeing him wring them together.. and watching that beautiful instrument measure the stack of blocks is mesmerizing. Almost soothing

1 O instrumento dê medição é um calibrador, este depois de ajustado mede peças rapidamente e com precisão .
2 A diferença das medidas aparecem no visor do relógio, mostrando o quanto as peças estão destronada tolerância.
3 Aqueles blocos padrões, são blocos lapidados, com medidas muito precisas, eles são usados para ajustar o calibrador.
4 Estes blocos são limpos, para tirar a lubrificação de proteção, depois são montados girando para tirar o ar entre eles. São tão precisos que grudam um ao outro nesta manobra de girar.
Controlador de medidas foi uma de minhas profissões.

I didn't know that machine shops would have their own gauge blocks for calibration. Never crossed my mind that they would buy a couple thousand dollar gauge block set to save time when they already spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on new machinery.
