The NEW Frost DK is BANGIN’

War Within Frost DK has been through some major rides and even after the nerfs, the spec is doing great but most importantly, its gameplay is banging! With the introduction of some new talents on top of the frost dk hero talents, we can clearly see a big improvement in feel and rotation. Let’s see exactly how good is!

Before this weeks reset, they were insanely strong. I was pulling damage that I couldn’t as unholy. The rework felt great and will finally play all 3 specs instead of Blood and Unholy

Once we have the stats to support it (definitely not S1, maybe late s2, early s3) the 100% proc chance on crit that 2h gets on those auto attack procs *MAY* see it pass DW. But early on, DW is looking much stronger just due to the frequency of attacks hedging the bets with lower crit rates.

Icy Death Torrent has a set ppm - dual wield will not get you more procs. Just use a 2 hander for Obliteration and dual wield for Breath (as always)

I played frost DK in legion (unholy too) , running mythic +26 keys most of the time . Frostcythe was the top performer attack for adds/trash. Is it relevant since then ? It was so strong in Legion.

I think they should make Breath a bit lower cooldown, have a set duration, and have it consume your current amount of runic power to do more damage. Maybe have it regen half of the runic power you spend over its duration. Kind of like how bonestorm for blood works

Frostwyrms fury needs a buff, prob just me but frostwyrms fury feels such a weak let down talent, back in legion it was a monster, but right now for tww pre patch and for when tww releases, frostwyrms fury feels like a waste talent but a must pick so we can choose the choise nodes we need, frostwyrms fury does too little dmg for a 3 minute cd, doesnt aline with cds either, only time frostwyrm can be worth it (barely tho) is getting absolute zero, but thats a talent node loss which isnt worth it either, and frostwyrm doesnt do much else besides that, even riders of apocalypse making it a more worth picking, still feels like a let down, ur only getting it cuz of the passive buff it will give for using it, frostwyrms fury needs a buff. And for single target… pls dont ever use it for single target lol does same or less than an oblit killing machine or 5 stacks frost strike

I mean maybe it’s just me but I really don’t like auto attack related mechanics mostly, as soon as auto attacks are doing my damage I feel like it’s not me doing it, I guess that’s why I’m a caster main

Frost DK was hard to play perfectly prior. The rotation was not straight forward and most players didn’t use their CD’s correctly. Now it looks to be very streamlined, playing more like Fury warrior, which is honestly how it played historically.
