Sad? It isnt sad at all. Its very optimistic - little robot realizes that his/her place is somewhere else, that the place of origin is somehow cold and unfriendly for this little robot. Decides to follow what he likes to do and where he wants to be. Its short movie about destiny and our purpose in life. Our origin means one thing but thats not descibes us and doesnt tell everything about us - we are born(made) in one place but its up to us to choose and follow our desired path.

The little robot is from a mechanized world it is the only thing he has ever known. The little robot as he travels on his journey stepping on the fallen leaf, seeing the smoke, and nearly being run over by a sweeping machine. He becomes apathetic to the nature that is around him.
