I first leaned about Roundabouts in New Jersey in 1972, and found them easy to use, safe, and freeing (fewer delays). The second time I used them was in Massachusetts 1973, where they were a bottleneck. The difference was, in New Jersey, traffic in the circle had the right-of-way so the circle emptied, and in Massachusetts traffic entering the circle had the right-of-way so the circle filled, did not empty, and traffic came to a standstill. From your diagram, traffic in the circle has the right-of-way so -- You got it right CDOT! Keep up the good work. Thank you. (Admittedly, roundabouts require drivers to think, so there is resistance to them.

Most states require that those in a roundabout use their turn signals if turning left, not Colorado. Someone is going straight past me is different than someone turning left in front of me. Oh well, it’s a free for all!

I like the 1 and 2 lane roundabouts but 3 is too much

Interesting that the video shows no visual obstructions in any direction, yet most roundabouts have walls, plants and other obstructions so that you almost have to pull INTO the roundabout to see if there is any oncoming traffic.

Need more emphasis on cars not trying to drive next to trucks in round abouts....

Just please leave them as 2-lanes, so many confused drivers, many people will get stuck in the inner circle and try to get out, ignoring the rules. Noone allows merging anymore, and road rage is awful in the springs in busy intersections.

Roundabouts come from Germany. That's what I read. Stop signs seem cheaper.

three lane roundabouts are absolute cancer

They are so common in Europe that American service members struggle maneuvering around them. Most do ok but there a few that make you wonder

Thx for educating already idiots to do more idiotic stuff that causes crashes. Roundabouts are not understood by this generation today. worst idea ever. Money grab for local ordinances and insurance companies in my opinion.

This is the dumbest idea. Maybe at very select intersections does this make sense, but CDOT thinks this is the answer to every intersection now. Classic liberal idiocracy.
