Never used the tether 120 mph plus for 8months worked great, until today! Rubber leg slipped off dropped my phone going 65 in traffic spent a while looking for it found it unscathed but the point is I'll replace the rubber grip and tether the phone every time now

because the tether is basically a rubber band and as you know rubber bands will break some where down the line i carry a spare one . Ram do sale them in 2 sizes a smaller one for small phones and a larger one for larger phones in the $4.50 to $6.00 USD range so a good idea keep a spare handy

that a additional fixing requiered to prevent to slip Smartphone/Tablet from RAM X-Grip away but I dont understand why RAM-Mount stubborn fixed on the involved rubber???
you can take pieces of velcro tape hard part in the center over the rammount logo and soft part on backside(case) of your Smartphone/Tablet and safe you the involved rubber 🥳🥳

Just remember to replace the rubber grips after a while. Mine started to slip off and I ended up dropping my phone while running errands. It probably would have survived the drop but after the cars were done running it over it was toast.

How do you keep the phone from rotating a few degrees while on the x grip mount?

I've installed the mount, and when the phone is in there is a good half inch of play where the phone will go from vertical to slightly askew in one direction.

Is there a lock that I'm missing?

I have a galaxy s7 edge it seems the thether to be very small. Is it supposed to be like that? I got a case not too bulky but about same size as an iPhone 8... It's not the edge plus.
