28 yr old virgin from Singapore here too. Its been a very very long, painful and sad journey but I know I am still not compromising on my standards, beliefs and goals in terms of the bison + barbary lion man of my dreams who is traditional and insanely wise, soulful, insightful, philosophical, altruistic and courageous. I dont go on dates, fraternize with male colleagues, attend office "trips" with men or go to clubs. I've got it all planned out of who I am looking for and the kind of lifestyle I want to lead and until now the men and culture I am engulfed by and environment I am in don't meet that criteria. I believe if I meet the one it will happen in the most unexpected ways when I didnt go looking.

Any man who thinks a woman should disclose this on a first or second date should ask themselves when they would tell their best guy friend to tell a woman that he only has one testicle (for whatever reason)-- It's certainly NOT something men would reveal over cooking a meal on a date in a culinary kitchen/school.
Personally, I think if she feels the need to disclose that she's a virgin to any man before a enough dates that the relationship progresses to being 10 minutes away from the bedroom, she's with the wrong man. There is a huge difference between emotional intimacy and sexual intimacy. If the emotional intimacy has a solid foundation, it won't make any more difference when tells him she hasn't had intercourse before. I know a couple of men who have only one testicle, and neither of them ever disclose this to the women they date until ... Well, as one of those men put it: I only tell a woman I have a single testicle if I know that if I didn't tell her, she and I would still be going out on additional dates (plural) after tonight. In other words, their relationship has progressed to the point where things like that don't matter. It'd be different if she was disclosing she didn't have a vagina. Although definitely not the same, she shouldn't feel any pressure to disclose her sexual past anymore than a woman who has been raped would feel comfortable in doing.
I hope she realizes that any woman can go on a date and have sex, and she should examine why she's not had sex before:. I think she'll find that she's waiting until she's in love and any man that cares about and loves her, will fully respect that, including her waiting to tell him. She definitely deserves more in a partner than a man who walks away after finding out she's a virgin. At least he was upfront about his desire to have nothing more than a "Wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am."
Any man attracted to her BECAUSE she's a virgin is even worse that those who leave after a date or two or ten BECAUSE she's a virgin.

It's not the actual sex she's craving. It's the intimacy that *appears* to come with it. I don't care if you're in you're in your 50s, being a virgin simply means you haven't found a man (or woman) worthy of accepting nor appreciating your love. Losing one's virginity is a lot more than going to the animal shelter and picking a dog or a cat that you're willing to give a "forever home".

It may be a cliché, but any man and woman can have sex. It takes a true couple in love to be sexually intimate with each other.
