Come Little Children - Batman/Batfam (Happy Halloween)

Thomas and Martha Wayne were murdered June 29th; their son Bruce, 8 years old at the time was never seen again. This was only the beginning of the strange disappearances of orphaned children in Gotham city.

Background of the Story:
Basically, Bruce is a ghost in this story but he still became Batman and took in Dick, Jason, and Tim because he understood their pain. I thought of the voice at the beginning of the song as Gotham's voice, that lured Bruce away with the promise of escaping his pain and later on joined in on the song. The boys are still alive in this story and have contact with the other heroes who don't know that Batman is an actual entity that exists. I have a whole story that exists about this AU but I couldn't really put much more in this video.

The idea that Gotham has an otherworldly song calling lost and forgotten children really fits naturally in Gotham.

I love this idea. It turns batman from a crazed vigilante into a mythical fae-like being. Almost like a much darker version of Peter Pan, and urban fairy haunting the night. I whole-heartedly approve.

Beautiful. It shows Batman as what he represents according to Sandman. A symbol of hope for the innocent and unprotected, the unjustly treated and young. A symbol of terror for the cowardly and insane, the evil and the heartless.

Love the idea that Batman just openly weeps or shows sadness and remorse around the children and innocent of Gotham

So the only ones who will ever fear him are genuine guilty criminals while everyone else sees him as a somber protector who is just as broken as they are, yet trying to hold strong and put everyone back together

It's almost like Gotham has a spirit of its own and simply waited for the perfect vessels to act out its will.

This has made me realize that the batman series feels like a nightmare that an orphaned child is having. Like his enemy is a clown that has bright imagery(something that children are associated with) and frequently uses guns? Like the guns that killed his parents? He is constantly fighting this clown, but he can never defeat him. Like RAGHH
Batman is a dark mysterious figure?? That doesn't talk much?? Like yourself in a dream??

Batman being a guider who leads the children away from the depression, sadness, and trauma the children has been through, and Batman being almost like a dark spirit who is technically an gaurdian angel actually fits perfectly for his character.

Imagine Gotham having a consciousness and helps her children by hiding them in her shadows and leading her children to each other to take care of each other.

About the whole "voice of Gotham" thing, I legit think the city is haunted, or possessed. Think about it, a location does not get THAT many full on cannibals just from poverty or drug lords or gun runners or corruption. Court Of Owls only explains so much.... Arkham games claimed it was a Lazarus Pit under the city.

I really like this idea of Batman crying with all the children he scoops up. Like, it makes it seem his purpose is to help poor unfortunate souls like him. Idk, no one ever does Batman as openly and deeply emotional, so it really kinda hits to see him cry, like he's crying for the kids because he once cried over the same thing too.

This is such a cool different take on Batman but one that still feels really in line with the spirit of Batman; great stuff!

it almost feels like batman is one of those urban legends parents would tell children, that a man in a dark bat attire kidnaps children by crying to them and luring them. It's just a story but it becomes real when your parents leave you.
