me and my bestfriend saw a shooting star after i broke up with my boyfriend, i loved him truly. After we broke up i met the boy i call my bestfriend and we would bike around town all night during the summer. The last time me and him hung out we stopped to look at the stars in a field when we saw the star.a couple days after he committed and that was the last time i saw him. I was 14 and when i turned 18 his father gave me a letter he wrote me before he died. In the letter he said when we saw that star he wished for me to be happy and that he’d always loved me, i’m 19 now and everytime i see a shooting star it reminds me of him, like the star is his way of saying everything will turn out okay.

Me and my friend were walking home one time we both started talking about how we've never seen a shooting star an as we looked to the sky this really bright shooting star went right over our heads.

On the night of August 12-13, I saw 62 meteors in four hours. Such a satisfying experience.

When I was a kid, my mom took my out to a field and we saw many shooting stars. At that time, I didn’t think much of them, only as what they were. Nothing but rocks that looked pretty cool…

But just today, I was packing up my telescope and looked up at the stars one more time. I looked up just in time as I saw a meteor with a yellow tail cross for only a second. Even though I’ve seen one before, it was so beautiful that in that moment, I dropped everything I was holding and stood there in awe. Life, for a moment, didn’t feel real. My hands and feet felt light, and as if they weren’t there. My heart soared with joy, and I didn’t wanna leave, feeling as if it may come back again…

I was walking late at night, listening to music. Yellow by Coldplay comes on and just when the lyrics «look at the stars, look how they shine for you» plays; I see a shooting star.
I was in a dark place at that time, but I think that moment saved me.

I’ve been camping for a week and the sky was painted with a display of breathtaking stars ( one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen). Due to light pollution in most urban areas, shooting stars are Rare, but this experience was amazing. For the first time in my life I saw satellites 🛰, shooting stars/ meteors 💫, and many fantastic constellations such as the saucepan etc. If you haven’t been camping already, I highly recommend that you take the time to go when you have the chance, it’s a great way to escape from towns and cities and to be surrounded by the wonders of the world 🌍 ✨

One thing that's amazing is, with millions of starts in space not one shooting star collides with another or head on collision with another star. What an amazing God we serve

Saw my first ever shooting star 2 years ago at the beach
I was in awe and couldn't believe my eyes. I teared up a little and the girl I was with couldn't understand why. Wonderful experience.

Egypt Nov 2001. I was walking back to my hotel room and a meteor was so bright, so thick, like a light saber, horizontally it shot left to right for about 2 seconds. I had to stop in shock at how terrifyingly beautiful it was, and even more so that possibly no one else on the planet saw it.
