With this update, Rare has incited a civil war in the community with the Reaper's Bones trying to destroy the Golden Sands Outpost, while Merrick and his supporters try to rebuild it.

As much as I’m interested to see what happens when golden sands is destroyed, I will still side with Merrick as golden sands was my very first outpost and it’s where I saw how beautiful the ocean is in The Sea of Thieves! Love your videos cliff 🤘

While I'm not too much of a fan of PvP (at least not with sweats or toxic players) and hate when some creators try and make everything about PvP, I still loved this video cause of the way you tell your stories and how it still wasn't *purely* about the PvP, it's about setting up traps for other players and thwarting their attempts to help Merrick (and bringing up how now it's a proper reason for reapers to stick together instead of just sinking one another). I may not like how the event is set up (It's way easier to donate to reapers than it is to golden sands thanks to GS being a hotspot) but you still made it sound enjoyable and help shed a bit of light for me on what it has potential to do
