Hankook and the DTM are entering their 10th season together. Since 2011, the premium tyre maker has been the exclusive tyre partner of the international touring car series, which powers its championship races with the Ventus Race developed especially for the DTM.

In 2020, the fourth generation of the dry tyre, along with a new rain tyre version – the Ventus Race Rain, will be used. This will provide DTM drivers with a powerful high-end package that is characterised by high performance and consistency as well as maximum safety and guarantees motorsport at the highest level.

Data collected during the DTM flows into the development of the road tyres; a host of new technologies have been developed to production maturity on Hankook's flagship product, the multi-award winning ultra-high performance tyre Ventus S1 evo 3. Handling and driving characteristics have been optimised, and as a result the company motto "Driving Emotion" can be experienced on all roads.

It is sad that the tires are so weak these days. Especially in sprint races. Drivers most imortant thing to worry about are the tires (DTM and F1), instead of showing a pure speed :/
