Blacksmithing - Forging the 'Emtervik' Axe (Forest Axe)

In this video I show I forge my version of the forest axe.
I call it "Emtervik" and it is based on the classic Scandinavian design.
I have worked very hard to come up with a way to produce these axes. I still change the process almost every time I make them, always working to get the process better.

Great axe. Is there a danger of the drift forge welding to the head when it gets that hot? Just saw a video from Fireball Tools about not doing such an aggressive cut with the angle grinder to make the discs last longer. Very interesting.

I had a question about the difference between forging a monosteel axe like this one and some of your early videos where you were folding them and using mild steel with high carbon cutting edges. Which do you like to do more? Do you enjoy the process of both?
