So it seems that not all airports flying AA have the check bags online option, I was told that continental US is but not international yet. I guess weights might be problematic? however I was told the 1st bag would be $35.00, we'll see.
Also when checking in online I was forced to select different seats, even though I had seats assigned from over a month earlier. After speaking to 2 agents over the phone I was able to get only my original return seat assignments, but after surfing the AA app on my cell it showed a big blue bar where you go to the Boarding pass page, what I found was a smaller blue bar just above the big one that says "Get Ready To Fly" and when you select it you can go to a page that shows seats and flight info but at the bottom is a button that says "Seats" and it goes to seat selecting where you can get original seats or change to other available ones. Whew, when companies start setting up computers for the first time....
