I've a good one, my dad had an alsatian that went missing and it was said the Richardson's gang had it, my dad just drove into where they lived and Charlie was there and spoke to him, my dad was a right lunatic in those days, I can imagine Charlie's disbelief someone would just drive into their place, but anyway it turned out there wasn't a dog there and a Chinese restaurant was raided and dog meat was found, years later when Engelbert was at the London Palladium, Charlie was there and he was looking at my dad and couldn't recall where or why his face was familiar, he said "Your face is familiar, you aren't one of the great train robbers."
