A lot if this is wrong. If you want to learn Cherokee, learn it from only **first language speakers**. The second best thing is learning from very advanced second language learners who’ve been **certified** to teach by CN, ECBI, or UKB. A great place to start is Ed Field’s (OK) free online classes or Myrtle Driver’s (NC) free online classes. Cherokee language is critically endangered, and we have to be careful to learn it correctly from only fluent speakers directly, and without distorting or corrupting it!

I'm White presenting Cherokee and you are Black presenting but we are Cherokee. My family speaks Cherokee and this gentleman knows what's he's talking about.

I grew up in Cherokee, NC.This guy does not have the facial phenotype of a Native American. You have to be living in fantasyland to think otherwise.

Oh wow, wondered what happened to him... glad he is still well.. too bad that the corona virus occurred in New York.. wouldve been dope if he & his students couldve reestablished the school. I feel they wouldve got waay more support & funding now than before.

This is amazing. Just seeing you 2 AMERICAN men up there uplifts my spirit and my soul. I am learning some of the languages. Is there anyway we can connect???? I am very serious about learning our mother tongues so that we can keep our culture and ancestors alive.

Two Feathers is a great teacher. Yes, to understand any culture one would need to learn the language of the people. It is frustrating that our school systems don't emphasize learning languages other than just English.

Donadagohvi is bye to one person lol. Dodadagohvi is to more than one person. Tells me he’s definitely not a Cherokee speaker but someone trying to pass as one.
