She still writes. She wrote a piece in the WSJ on childhood in April of 2015, a nice little personal essay, which I liked a lot. Note her deceptively simple style. The old looks easy but isn't kind of thing.

The emptiness that results whenever Fran Leibowitz steps into a room is of such profound effect that I wish MIT physicists would study the phenomenon. This non-writer and shameless self-promoter carries around her own portable Black Hole, from which wit, meaning, intelligence, dedication to any specific cause or even genuine anger cannot escape. Even when she has a microscopic point to make, as here, one is irritated at having to separate the point from her endless self-congratulation.
