Opposition leader calls for Victoria COVID royal commission

Victoria's newly appointed opposition leader Matthew Guy is calling for a royal commission into the state's handling of coronavirus.

The state liberal leader's stance mirrors the former Health Minister- Jenny Mikakos' who called for an inquiry at both a federal and state level last week.

Mr Guy says there is 'no doubt' a royal commission is needed after 823 Victorians lost there life since the pandemic began.
