Film stuck in Fujifilm Instax Mini

Hey guys! Thanks so much for watching my "How to Fix Instax Mini 8" video. I've gotten so many questions on that video, and there is no way I'll be able to answer every question without actually experiencing them. BUT, one thing that I actually came across is my film being stuck in the camera. SO, my "How to fix Instax Mini 70" jammed film was born. omg, this was so helpful, thank you! mine was the protective film, stuck halfway out. i did change the batteries, but it was still stuck (i could close my lens). after watching your video, i realized i needed to pull a LOT harder, and wiggle it side to side, shimmying a little on each end, at a time. it worked! the protective one finally came out, and the next picture was fine! thank you!

Hey i found i solution, depending on where you film is stuck, if the film is poking out a lot, try your best to pull it out as gentle as you can. if you film is stuck inside you will have to do the steps in the video. i had my protective film stuck in my camera and 70% of it was out and the rest was stuck, i did the mistake of taking my film cartage out and trying to pull from inside the camera, and it didn't budge so i had no choice but to pull from the top. i found that even if you do it in the dark your film gets exposed anyways so best choice is to pull from the top to prevent it getting exposed. i hope this helps you.

If the ones that stuck is your protective film. Just change the battery (different brands). It will pop out right away.

My problem was that the picture did print, but was stuck in the roller outside the camera. None of this applied to me, BUT hearing you say you were pulling it in a zig zag motion, one corner and then the other actually got me to pull my photo out safely. Of course, the camera was fine and acted as if nothing happened after. Thanks for the zig zag tip! I’ll know this for later if my Polaroid prints the other way 😭

For everyone saying the protective film gets stuck, you have to pull the film square out quite forcefully but you run the risk of breaking the camera

Thank u this video gave me the bravery to reaaallly put force into it. It felt so wrong but it was necessary. The black sheet got stuck in my case after the very first time I pushed the button. It was because the low batteries couldn't get it all the way through

Just did this and it worked like a charm! Haven't tested the film and camera yet, but thankful the protective sheet is no longer stuck!

mine is not jammed i just added a new film and it stopped working keeps saying there is 0 film when the pack is brand new. anyone else have had this problem?
