I'm really liking the direction Iron Crown has been moving with Rolemaster Unified.

The great thing I love about Rolemaster is that it really encourages customization. Each group has the opportunity to make the game whatever way they like.

I always liked that concept of the professions showing you what skills are easier for your character to learn and which ones are harder to learn. I'm used to RMSS and there were more Power Points in that one I believe. I did love Spell Law. So many cool spells.

I've always liked the idea of a mostly non-magical character with a spell or two for specific instances when a little magic can go a long way.

Nice video! Me and my friends have been playing a rolemaster campaign since 96. We adopted many optional rules from companions 1 through 7, especially arms companion that have revitalized fighters for high level adventures (the group level are 9~15).

Regarding RMFRP: What somewhat confuses me, are the terms: 'profession' and 'vocational training package'. In the german translation they nearly sound the same, but have a different meaning.
If I understood it right, profession is more like a mission, mindset or identity, whereas the 'v' really describes a profession, that you've learned at some kind of employer, right?

Thanks for the video! I'm eagerly awaiting the release of RMU (right now, more exciting than christmas! ;-) )

I love RM2. One of my old time favorite. But since 2001 i use for all my game the hero system. Do you know that game ?

Learned a lot from this video. What is the deal with the "famous dead invisible turtle?"

The subtle spitting over your shoulder at the mention of Vancian magic matches my feelings about it.

Do you look up every attack roll on a chart vs armor? Seems... incredibly slow and clunky. And if you are saying that spells are "slow, " that sounds worse. I know they called this game "Chart Master" and this sounds like they were right. Since you got into this game so heavily, how fast does it play if you are dedicated enough to actually learn the rules?

How big did this game get back in the day? How big is it now? Are there any estimates on how many books sold or numbers of players this game ever got at its peak? I never knew anyone that played it, but online it seems like lots of people must have been doing so.

So... it seems like a game that makes everything all overly-tabled, written out and ... feels like it belongs in a marketing meeting. Thanks, Jim.
