As a frequent traveler myself I think you should carry over the ear headphones, I've left the country 8 times this year already and there's no way earbuds are comfortable for long periods of time, maybe on a 2 hour flight is fine but 8-13 hour flights you need comfort

I'm also a travel enthusiast. Your recommendations are all spot on. Those are the things I'd use for myself. You're one of my favorite gear reviewing channels. Thank you for doing the heavy lifting for the rest of us!

A good travel selection, the one essential I see you did not mention is a travel adapter. For someone flying often I find it is as important as the travel charger brick to be able to have a one stop solution for every country's plug type needs. And yes, I get your frustration with Apple still holding onto that ancient lightning cable head type. I can't wait for them to make the full switch to USB-C on their whole product line! It will slim down the cables I need to bring even more!

I think the US passport is the most recommended tech product👀

As ever, an interesting and engaging post. I regularly travel relatively short distances, up to 3 hours each way. Long haul flights are rarer.

As commented already, a travel adapter is essential. I have one that is compact and adaptable, sliders fold out the required region's adapter. I carry some standard adapters for the region in my hold luggage too. With a charger connected to a travel adapter it's quite a bulk to hang off a socket. Some sort of support would be ideal if someone has come across one.

I now have a couple of Anker chargers and tend to use their braided USB cables too. I've found them reliable over the years and the 65W charger I have will power my HP EliteBook and Microsoft Surface (not at the same time) as well as having a spare socket to charge the phone/Buds/etc. I have some small USB-C to USB-A adapters to minimise the number of cables I carry.

The Bluetooth Air adapter is not something I've see, I'll definitely be investing in one of them.

As for bags, I like the security features on the bag you featured. I tend to switch depending on my needs. I have an old Pakuma backpack which has a padded compartment for my laptop. It doesn't have a lot of capacity but ideal for planes and where I have additional luggage. It's barely aged in 10 years so great quality.
I have had budget backpacks which have fallen apart very quickly. Now I have 25l and 30l Berghaus backpacks which have survived many trips without an issue. Neither are designed for laptops but sort of work in that the smaller is ideal for when we're away and out and about without the laptop. The larger I use for shorter trips and can squeeze 1 to 2 nights worth of gear in as well as my laptop and accessories.

6:47 peak design case works well with peak design accessories, but it won’t necessarily protect your phone well and is weaker with regular MagSafe devices. My peak design case didn’t protect my phone in a pretty catastrophic way where my phone was no longer fixable, and I also stopped using my MagSafe pop socket because it came off too easily. Can’t recommend that case to anyone in good conscience

My travel audio solution would be Sony WI 1000X(M2) ANC Dual driver Bluetooth or wired and Airline compantible.

And one missing thing: world mains adapter plugs for 220V etc.

Amazing video mike! Man that bluetooth airplane adapter might be a gamechanger for me. Didnt even know about something like that. Ive been using those aweful free ones that they give you for as long as i could remember, but after I get myself a new pair of bluetooth headphones soon, that gadget is gonna make flights a breeze.
