I was able to pick this up at HD online a few months ago for $129. After my military discount only $116. I couldn’t pass it up. Great tool. One of my favorites. I have the mid and high torque wrenches also. I have to disagree with one thing. If you don’t have a lot of need for impact wrenches but you do change your own brakes, or rotate your own tires….this is all you need. It will take your lug nuts off without any problem and the design is great for getting to those caliper bolts. If you are not a professional mechanic working on a lot of different things then this is probably the only impact you will ever need. If you get into bigger vehicles and suspension work, then you may need to go bigger, but for you change-your-own-brakes guys and occasional other lighter job guys, this may be all you need.

Looks like a pretty sweet tool. Ridgid has come out with a ton of new products the last 12 months or so. After using their stuff professionally for years I've only had to use my warranty only once. It was just a charger. Thanks for the video review. Great job. I like the clear precise and fairness shown on this channel. Keep it up!

This subcompact line is awesome. Their 6 1/2 subcompact saw was the most popular saw on a framing project that we completed. Looking forward to a sale on this tool!

I have almost every Rigid impact wrench. Just bought this today….HD has it on sale for $129 and with my military discount I got it fot $116 plus tax. Was a no brainer. The reason I wanted it was because I did a brake job a few weeks ago and could not get the caliper off that easily. Not a lot of room for a long breaker bar either. Got my mid torque out and it would not line up behind the bracket. Wished I had this that night. I’m sure I’m gonna love it. I use my mid torque often. Have the high torque and love that too…but in reality….its a status symbol that doesn’t really get used. But I do love it.

Wow, very impressive! 2yrs too late for me but I think I may eventually sell my M12, once this comes into a hackable promo or gets to DTO.

I ordered mine today and this video pops up and I couldn't be more excited. I was buying the subcompact and bought this instead, and I'm thinking I'm going to be more than happy with it.

may be an odd question but was that a cordless drill torque wrench you used to tighten the bolts down to test?

I think the protective head cover is to protect some materials you are working on not the wrench.

I'm a super market refrigeration tech and in the market for a right angle impact, 250ftlbs is more than enough for 99% of my work (it will mostly be used for filter dryers and oil separators and compressor changes) I just saw this in 3/8" (mostly smaller fasteners for my job) on black friday deal for $129, might have to pick it up.

So this is better than the Milwaukee right angle?

Okay Brother. I may left a comment or 3 already on this video, but in my defense it's been 7months or so.🤓
I'm very impressed by this tool. I'm on both Milwaukee battery platforms and a couple others, but not RIDGID...at least not yet. Given these tools and few others, that could well change this year.
I'm huge fan of Milwaukee M12 2.5Ah ho batteries, however I can see a lot of areas that the new 6Ah M12 batteries fit as well.
This platform from RIDGID offers a different reach, putting the bigger battery just far enough away to make it work where, because Milwaukee doesn't or at least hasn't seen fit to produce the right angle impact in an M18 FUEL version that might afford me one more teardown or one assembly at/or near the end of a shift, especially if you're talking about the 6Ah forge battery....
I guess we'll see what the future holds, but by that time I'll likely have RIDGID in the arsenal.

Just love ridgid keeping the same 18v batteries and not changing to like 12v

That's awesome. But I don't want another battery platform. Does DeWalt or Milwaukee have something similar?

Great job as usual, thanks for sharing. This has slightly better specs than TTI's Milwaukee right angle impact wrench. 👍
