Meet VECINA Volunteer Interpreter and Admin, Alejandra Adán

Alejandra Adán joined VECINA's volunteer team this year, and has participated in all four of our projects. She is the Senior Community Relations Liaison for Western Governors University for Texas and the greater region, including New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. In her role at WGU, Alejandra develops and nurtures community outreach initiatives that support strategies to expand opportunities to underrepresented and underserved populations in the region. Alejandra has more than 15 years’ experience as a biliterate communications professional and program manager with a background in education, community engagement through advocacy, and programs that promote equity and social justice.
