The wedding dress in The Proposal being so hideous was intentional! That was the joke! It shouldn't be on this list of bad dresses when it was part of the plot.

Did you guys even watch The Proposal?!!! The dress looks dated because it was vintage! It belonged to the grandmother that was just tailorfitted to the lead.

I will always be in love with Anne Hathaway’s wedding dress in Princess Diaries 2! It is my dream dress if I could ever fit into one like that

The scene where Buttercup jumps out of the window and it shimmers and flows….So beautiful

Disagree about Marie's, maybe dated, but NOT hideous, seriously.

In the movie Ever After, Danielle wore her mother's wedding dress to the ball. That gorgeous dress is in my top 5 for sure.

I actually love Marie’s wedding dress In When Harry Met Sally. Considering it was the Eighties, I think it’s very simple and classic. The sleeves are not too puffy. And they aren’t on top of ruffles and nd frills and lace to be crazy eighties excess. The neckline worked with her short hair. I just think Carrie Fischer looked really beautiful in the dress. All that being the, Maria’s from the Sound of Music is my all time favorite movie wedding dress.

Marie's dress was pretty, ESPECIALLY given the time period. Also, it's funny that you didn't like the basque waist, which is very much back right now.

I feel like Maria’s dress should’ve been number one. It’s just….perfect.

I was surprised the top 5 Dated dresses didn't include Toula's from the original My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It was definately ugly on purpose and it being tacky and not to Toula's tastes is literally the point, but being ugly on purpose was also the point of several of the dated dresses in the video.

My favorite film wedding dress was The Father of the Bride from 1950, starring Elizabeth Taylor. It’s absolutely timeless!

I think the veil extending past the train was the more memorable part of Maria's attire in sound of music. More than the dress.

You barely even showed the #1 Classic dress! Good grief.

In Muriel's Wedding, after all the horrendous dresses she had tried on, the one she wore when she finally did get married was quite breathtaking !! Though I do have to agree with all the comments here that Maria's is truly sublime and takes No.1 for me too!!

I preferred the wedding dress Giselle wore in Disney’s enchanted

I mean, any Molly Ringwald character should not be allowed to alter any dresses after that monstrosity Andie made in Pretty in Pink.

Totally disagree about The Proposal, the dress was the grandmother’s that they reworked. It’s supposed to look dated. That was part of the comedy, the boobs getting lost in it, etc. it’s supposed to look slapped together because the wedding wasn’t supposed to happen at that time. Did anyone writing this bother to watch the movie?

"Harry met Sally" had better off the shoulder sleeves than most brides now. The neckline sat at a decent place, layed flat and smooth, didn't look like it was sliding down her chest, or her chest was squished into it, and her sleeves...well, they didn't look like straps that fell off and tempt you to run up and pull them up for the bride.

I love the dress Nancy Travis wore in So I Married An Axe Murderer. I really loved the fact that it had a hood.
