How to Install Custom Characters in Rivals of Aether

In this video I show you how to Install Custom Characters in Rivals of Aether via the Steam Workshop. This will not work on console. Make sure you own a copy of Rivals of Aether on Steam!

EDIT: If you do not see the cogwheel button, go to "Change Rules" in the top left then turn on Custom Characters!

Sadly, I plan to grab Rivals of Aether for Switch so, when I want to play a platform fighter, I don't end every match with "why do you have that and I just don't?" feelings.

So, no The Knight for me. Sad. (Still get Ori, though!)

Update: In a large turn of events, I ended up getting Rivals on PC, so I do get the workshop characters to play around with. Hooray! Shame Steam takes the Switch Pro Controller as an Xbox controller for some unknown reason, but I at least can change the controls to my liking

This really helped me, at first i followed all the steps and didn't see a cogwheel button, but then read the pinned comment and fixed it

I don't think you mentioned it, but on the character select screen, you have to go to settings and turn on developer mode and workshop content.

Thank you! The steam workshop isnt listed in the store page in the game, so I thought I had to go to another page in order to download mods, So I wasnt totally sure if I wanted to buy the game. Thanks for clearing this up!
