How to use Inputs on Topics in Copilot Studio

Hi Dewain. I'm trying to get dynamic fill inputs working, but when I enter the topic, Copilot doesn't seem to be generating a prompt to the user for any of the info. Any ideas?

Does this work in languages other than English? In my German bot I can't find the corresponding field to configure the variables to be filled dynamically.

Dewain, I'm not seeing the same options as you. Under 'topic details > input' I only see 3 options 1 Variable name 2 Variable data type 3 Variable description.

Does this essentially allow me to keep track of the context of the conversation?

So, if the user is asked a question, if an entity is detected, it proceeds and then if the user asks a follow up question or a new question then the context is maintained.

Can I do that with this feature? Do you have a guide for it?

@Dewain27 What I have noticed the co-pilot could not publish this new topic with inputs/outputs, it kept detecting errors. whereas in actual there is no error. While publishing everytime getting the following baseless error "We failed to publish your copilot. Validation for the bot failed". Kindly suggest how can I publish this new topic with inputs/outputs.

Hi Dewain. In topic details under input I only have 3 options. 1 Variable name 2 Variable data type 3 Variable description. I'm not seeing the same thing as you are :(

Thanks, Dewain, for such an excellent video around inputs/outputs of a topic. This is an incredibly important feature to get those variable inputs without manual Question nodes. Can we call this an implementation of Multi-Turn conversations in copilot studio?

what if we want to call actions in the topic, how would that work?
it says the output will also be a variable, what if i want an adaptive card as the output?
when is this usecase really useful?
