Preheat the oven to 425.
Cut the French bread in half.
Spread butter on the bread and place in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
Once out of the oven add cheese, sauce and any desired toppings.
Bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes based on your desired cheese browning.
1-2 additional minutes on broil for a more crispy outcome.
