Learn how to transform the TAKOM Hetzer with interior and engine painting and weathering techniques in this how-to guide. Get ready to take your model to the next level!
Join me in todays video where I take you through the steps I took to build, paint and weather the interior elements and the engine bay for the NEW Takom Hetzer (early version) in 1/35th scale.

This is the first part of the series and I aim to bring you the next stages during the coming weeks. Whilst I have tried to bring you accurate information about this build, I am in no way an authority on the subject, so I'd encourage you to do your own research. A great place to start in the facebook page Tracey Hancock and Sam Dwyer have put together -

Thank you very much for the movie. The kit is waiting on my shelf to be done in next months. It will be my first interior kit. I will definetly use your movie as a guidence. Well, I have also second interior kit, stug3 from border models, but since you give some many hints and tips about hetzer, it has to wait in the que. Regards, Greg

You should definitely do more interior builds - this really motivates me to make a start on the shelf full of RFM tanks with full interiors I’ve been accumulating.

Wow, I have a new airbrush compressor, and airbrushes, never used them, always been old school model builder, each time I watch these videos I'm closer to using the airbrush equipment, thank you

Wow, just wow!! You call this the greatest hobby in the world, the intricacies in your detail and dedication make it more of an art form than a hobby. Taking into consideration you mentioned you did the bare minimum to the interior, as a novice I was blown away by the end result. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

Hi Clayton! I enjoyed watching your video of painting and weathering the interior and engine of the Hetzer. Nice work! The weathering looks great. I especially enjoy dry brushing. It really brings out surface detail and adds depth. Its a great technique to use. Have a good day! 😊

Love it! I have only attempted one full-interior model (Trumpeter Flakpanzer IV Ostwind in 1:35 scale), which I have yet to complete, and I haven't ventured into painting the interior yet. I have left the sub-assemblies uninstalled so that they can be painted separately. The engine assembly was very meticulous, with some parts being about the size of a sesame seed, but I am proud to say I did not lose any pieces of it!

Love your videos!

It is looking good. When I built my first Miniart T-34 with an interior, I went to town on it. When I did the others, I knew what would be visible and what wasn't, and it saved a lot of time. I suspect that I will be doing the same thing when I do the Hetzers.

Great looking interior there. I've got a full interior M3 Bradley to build at some point, but doubt it'll look half that good. Well done.

Thank you Clayton. The end result looks rather daunting, however you manage to break it all down into do-able bite-sized bits: I might tackle that Tiger I yet...

Great work!!! This video was just the thing I needed!!! I just recently purchased this kit, without the interior, and this one video answered nearly all of my questions about the interior!!! The model I have came with the full ammo racks and 75mm rounds plus the automatic rifle and other bits and bobs, but no where in the instructions does it show how to assemble and mount them to the floor and walls of the tank. With the other interior pieces included, I was disappointed that the radio set was not included in the kit I have, oh well I’ll just build one from scratch following some frozen stills from the video. I’ll also scratch build the seats for the driver, loader, and gunner. I’m enjoying the build series for this kit, and cannot wait to begin the build of this kit!!! As someone else has already said, ” this is my styrene sanctuary!!” G, day!!
