The madman did it! The first thing I looked at was if you were picking with fingers. And you were. I was never the one to be too good at noticing details like that, but I always thought this was definitely picked with fingers.

Fun solo too! He plays really... twangy is the best way I can describe it. Bouncing from the first loud note to the response note right away. Lessons in bending. And the arpeggiated pattern in the pre-chorus. And I still forget that most of the rhythm guitar in the song is played as single notes, it sounds so full anyway. And there's some progress doing just single note shape phrasing.

Such a great band, Dio is brilliant, Blackmore as well. I first heard of Dio as a kid at a primary school carnival, the butterfly ball was playing in the background, it was one of those moments you never forget. At the time I didn’t know it was Ronnie James either. I cherish those memories. Another time was sitting in my dads chev impala ( he was a muso and fan of American muscle) and heard Forever now, I was blown away by Mossy and then Jimmy came in with the vocals.. songs like Man on the silver mountain and the ones I’ve mentioned invoke such beautiful memories of being a child and discovering music!
