It seems this lens is most impressive closer to the subjects. Much like the Fuji 23 1.4 WR. But I share your views on the bokeh with that lens... I actually preferred the old version in this regard.

I like in particular the swirly bokeh on some of your shots and those from others i have seen. That gives this lens something that is becoming rarer in the battle for sharpness above all else... character.

It's tempting to replace the 23 1.4 with this and to pair it with the 18 1.4 and a tele when the mood takes. I would probably still keep the 33 for shallower depth of field and a lighter carry though.

Did you find yourself missing the shallower depth of field a longer focal length would have given, like the 33 1.4 or 56mm 1.2?

Viltrox has come a long way. Impressive you like the Viltrox over the Sigma and Fuji lens options. That speaks volumes.

Nice pictures and location! The crop factor gives you a very nice close to 35mm full frame field of view.

For all us 28mm fans on full frame. I so so WISH this 27mm f1.2 was a full frame lens. Could you imagine a f1.2 essentially 28mm lens? Ok, guess I will look for a Sigma 28mm f1.4 but such a massive lens.

Hey Dustin, nice work as always. I thought I had decided (with difficulty) to skip this excellent lens, keep my 23mm LM WR and add the 33mm LM WR. But... you're 'not helping' that 🤣

The edit thing as the end to show the results is cool but you should just record your EVF and show them with the camera shutter sound like Jared Polin otherwise I have no time to understand what are you showing

That slide show in the end really doesn't help see what "that baby can produce", though, there's nothing new there that you didn't show earlier in the video.

The separation looks like photoshoped. The 3D pop is so extreme looks unreal, looks like iPhone. Don’t like it. GREAT review!!!
