But it wasn't until her personal life began to crack that she finally managed to find her true voice.

BEAUTIFUL tells the inspiring true story of King's remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than BEAUTIFUL music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation.

I was blessed to see Beautiful on Broadway yesterday in NYC and it ROCKS!  Please, please go see this musical.  You will not be disappointed.  The performances are golden, the story is heartfelt, and the songs are Awesome!  Loved every minute!!

This was one of those legendary moments on stage that's a 'once in a lifetime' experience for all concerned.  Even seeing it on You Tube was a wreck job for me!    Only word needed=BEAUTIFUL!

I saw this wonderful show first in San Francisco and then on Broadway.  It is, hands down, the best musical I have seen in many a year.  Carole King's music is grand, and her life story is powerful and extremely moving.  This is a great, great show.  You'd be foolish to pass it up.  Enough said.
