A friend of mine sung in the choir for this song. It's weird to think, whenever I hear this, that my friend (who has never played skyrim) IS in skyrim.

This played for me going to cloud ruler temple. It was very sad to see what was Cyrodiil's supposedly best fortress in ruins.

But still, this played at night after I'd let the inn owner mourn his dog. I was walking back down to Bruma when it happened, at first I stopped to listen. But when the bit with the violin and the choir came on, I just ran for Bruma, and I tell you now, I have never felt so alive.

The first time I actually listened to this I was streaming Bruma, it had been a while since I played any Skyrim and after a long exploring day I went on top of a mountain and stared at the distance for a while.
I was feeling so calm that I took my hands to my head and profoundly sighed, then this song started playing.
I actually was kinda shook and for a while thought that it was actual people praying under the hill or something so I tried so search where it was coming from, but I could only find a bear that tried to maul me xD. I was so pissed at the fact that the song stopped playing because of the fight

Exiting fort Pale Pass and then I see the snow, falling among the pine trees in the wind at the crack of dawn when the violin and choir start, the most magical moment ever.

Hearing this play as you finish the cloud ruler temple quest and are now standing in the courtyard, it can give you a desolate lonely feeling.

For some reason, this song played right after the orc made his battle cry and we started rushing to the house of the man who had kidnapped his wife. It was my first play through, but I had already figured out the truth, that he was betrayed by his own wife who had fallen in love with another man, and left him for dead. I nearly cried as I heard this song and thought of what this poor man had in store for him when we finally found her. Perfect music for that moment.

As he exits the ruins of the one great Cloud Ruler Temple, the Dragonborn stares at the sky of stars and Masser, grieving over his dead Blade brothers and sisters, murdered by the monster that is the Thalmor. They took everything away from him. His mother had to run from them, his father mysteriously disappeared, leaving him alone in Anvil as a baby. A soldier then took the child to the Imperial City because Anvil was no longer safe. He then embarked on another mission and never returned. The child, Aeronius, who would later become Dragonborn, grew up as a thief in the streets of the city just to survive, and whenever he was caught stealing, a Watch Captain who respected the order of the Blades, took him to Cloud Ruler Temple to see these strong and honorable knights and learn good values. Later on, the Blades realized he was a Dragonborn, and took him into their order. For years, he would train with them, eat with them, and share stories, it was as if he'd always lived there, in the rebuilt Sancre Tor. A few years later, news came to Sancre Tor that Cloud Ruler had been destroyed by the Thalmor. He had friends he knew there when he was younger. It wasn't long until Sancre Tor's magic barrier that conceals the town and temple was discovered by the Dominion. A few years later, on the day he became a master in the ranks of the Blades, his former master smiled at him and congratulated him, but suddenly, an arrow struck through his chest from behind. They have come, the Aldmeri Dominion has discovered Sancre Tor. Aeronius stood there in shock, as his father figure has just been murdered in front of him. He shouted, and everything stopped. He grabbed his Akaviri katana, and killed every Thalmor he saw. When things started moving again, he did not know what just happened, but a dying Blades agent told him to run away and abandon the order. For months, he made a living as a hired assassin when a voice whispered in his head that things await him in Skyrim. He discards all his weapons and armor to avoid suspicion, and dresses up as a poor man, and crosses the border to Skyrim by going through the Serpent's Trail, fending off lowlifes and bandits with his hand-to-hand skills. When he finally got out, he was then captured by Imperial soldiers, along with three other men, who were Nords. Thus, the story begins.

This mod had better characters, voice acting, music, and story quality than most of the base game. And that's coming from someone who ADORES Skyrim.
