Here's my Pixel Ripped 1995 review. The nostalgia-fueled VR game-within-a-game!

Pixel Ripped 1995 a game that will blast you to the past if you were born in that time, or just for those who love retro gaming in general. The full game releases soon on April 23rd for 20 US dollars or 20 euros. It will be available for the Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift, and Steam. I mostly played the game on the Valve Index, but I also tried the first level on the Oculus Quest, and it played the same.

Of course I gamed as secretly at night as I could, in 95 I would have been playing Sonic CD, Final Fight CD, Street Fighter 2, NHL 94, Madden NFL 94 and still playing Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II even though it was made in 92.

Yes, stayed up late playing games all the time throughout my childhood! When I didn't have a TV in/near my room, I'd play the DS. Final Fantasy X and XI, Kingdom Hearts, Phantasy Star Online, Zelda Twilight Princess, Dark Cloud, Mega Man ZX, Metroid Prime, Animal Crossing: Wild World... Ahh good times. Being up late felt magical back then!

I only have the quest and not a pc so I never got to experience the first game but i agree with the sentiment of not wanting the difficulty toned down... that’s a shame. When I do finally get around to building a PC I will have to go back and play the first one. Stay safe

I also have a nintendo switch too i love the part when you got caught playing your nintendo switch and i heard about this vr game pixel pipped 1995 this game does look like my type of game i love both retro and modern games equally good review and i want to let you know that yes i was trying to be sneaky playing video games at night when i was supposed go to sleep i got caught by one of my family members this happen back in the day when i was a kid i just don't remember what game i was playing but i just want it to share that with you

Certain parts of the art in the game really reminded me of Zelda: a link to the past. Good times, I still fondly remember being school 'sick' and finishing that game start to finish in one go. I haven't played the first one yet. Do you reckon I need to play that one first to appreciate/enjoy this one more?
