Franz Gordon - The French Library

Franz Gordon was born in 1971 and raised in Lammhult, a small village in Sweden. Music was always an interest and from a young age he started playing the organ with his mother. He went to music school where he and his friends started a band inspired by the 80s synth-pop. In 1995 he moved to Stockholm to study at Svenska Musikkonservatoriet.

Through the years Franz has composed music within many different genres. Anything between pop, jazz, and even an album with a symphony orchestra, mixed by Bernard Löhr in Benny Andersson’s studio.

Today he delivers classical melodies inspired by the masters of classical music such as Bach, Debussy, Chopin and Ravel. With millions of listeners every month, Franz Gordon takes us back in time with proficient compositions and gifted piano playing.

Just wow, this song has so much joy, sadness, warmth, depth, just so much emotion, and it hits you like a wave.. definitely one of my favorites, there must have been a lot going on in this persons mind, and a lot of focus, what a masterpiece! 🙏🏼 🩰

Maybe because I’m a huge Chopin’s fan that’s why I love his pieces so much.

I remember listening to this. It has 20k+ views back then (23k or 25k). It wasn't that popular. Discovering it was magical; I felt like I was walking in Paris while it's raining wearing a coat (not raincoat) alone. Then entering a library/bookshop and starting reading some books.

So beautiful... It's like Chopin pieces, why this guy doesn't get more attention that he should deserve…

I play this whenever it’s time to divulge my sinister plan to an unsuspecting companion

Such and beautiful yet simple piece, just proves that complexity isn't always necessary. Love playing this on my digital piano but sadly it doesn't have the same vibe. I hope i can find a older more charismatic piano some and day to play this with it!
