In addition to the atlas points, the missions require you to clear maps equal to or higher than the requested tier. This means if you can clear higher tiers you can run them and still complete the missions to gain the points.

Id add that gemcutter prisms are gamechanging. Worth investing some exalted orbs into. Stampede on warrior got 30% increased chance to aftershock which added to other boosts gave me 92% chance total. Massive.

Waystones can be traded with other players, i have been able to get waystones with good base rolls that way, and they usually only cost 1 exalt up until lvl 14+, i would recommend checking the market before slamming a waystone that alredy isnt what you are looking for .

In all my years playing PoE i have never heard of anyone refer to tier 1-5 maps as green maps. I'm curious as to where did you get that term from?

I went an oppisite route. I put all my nodes in item rarity, monster density, more rares, more modifiers. I already get to many waystones as it is. They drop all the time, like candy. If i really need a map ill use the currency im getting in the map to enhance or even buy one. It's a better use of your points to focus on item and mob rarity and density imo. Just my two cents. But, wtf do i know ? Im currently in level 11 maps.

In maps, do you full clear them, or just rush the objective? Just picked up my first waystone yesterday in act 3 cruel! Never mapped before in POE 1 so I feel like I'm getting closer!

actually not a fan of fortune path when you finish your atlas. at that point you have enough to alc your maps and you dont want them to drop magic at all. also duplicate rare is probably the first thing id make sure i have once you have the points. tier higher thing is ok for a while but those nodes should be replaced by better options
