The Block has been sealed.

All we have left are the Memories.

Yeah I'm late for this, but yesterday marked the 4th Anniversary of Will Ryan's first IRIS album; Heart of an Artist. While I didn't have anything initially planned for it, I remembered having organized a song THE DAY BEFORE that incorporated "Lucid Terror" from GR's soundtrack - a song I wish I had expanded upon sooner. Knowing GR was done and over with, I put it to the side before remembering that HOAA's anniversary was the next day. So I figured - hey, what better way to contribute than with one last trip through The Block?

While this song focuses on the "Memories"; entities formed from the memories made throughout his life that reside within The Block, this is primarily a tribute to Will, the dark thoughts and feelings he's overcome, and those that helped him along the way - something I feel some folks take for granted when people bring up IRIS nowadays. This whole thing wouldn't have begun had Will not let his passions drive him to let out what was on his mind as a creator. That Heart of an Artist lies deep within him, and I wanted to use this opportunity to remind people that this project is more than just a story and music - it's HIS tale and HIS heart.

While I'm probably beating a dead horse by this point - I feel this reminder is a fairly important one to me. I care about Will as an Artist, a Person, and above all else - a friend.

So all I ask is that you PLEASE give him the love and support he rightfully deserves, and though he may feel like he doesn't - I'm here to tell him that those are just his dark thoughts telling him so. Though the darkness overshadows the light, our presence has brought hope to his plight. So please - go check out all the stuff he's done and give him LOTS of love.
