SpaceX is launching Boeing's secretive X-37B experimental spaceplane on top of their work horse Falcon 9 rocket. This is the 13th launch for SpaceX this year and 41st launch of the Falcon 9 overall. It will launch from pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. After stage separation, they will be attempting a first stage landing back at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base at LZ-1 (about 6 miles from the launch pad).

Titanium 😉. I noticed that old aluminum grid fins deployed quicker and very 'bouncy' at the end, while new titanium grid fins deployed slowly and snap right into place.

Any news on the upgrades in block 5? Haven't found much info but block 4 doesn't seem to have changed much so I'm a bit confused on what that changed. CRS-12 was the first block 4 flight but it didn't have titanium grid fins unless they started painting them white. Do we know when all flights will have titanium grid fins?
