Many countries don't have sewage systems that can handle toilet paper.

Number 3 is only valid for areas with no sewage system. In the cities it's not an issue. Some signs might have been placed years ago.

I've rarely seen people drink sparkling water in Cyprus. You eventually end up buying old bottles at the store and their gas is pretty much gone... + I guess the heat plays also on the storage quality.
