Cleopatra was Macedonian

Cleopatra the last descendant of general Ptolemy that once served Alexander of Macedonia (also known as the Great) is rightfully portrayed as Macedonian.

I backpacked through Greece, FYROM, and Bulgaria last summer researching avenues for my thesis on remnants of ancient Macedonain culture and traditions. In a nutshell I discovered, exactly within the borders of Ottoman occupied Macedonia, remains of the cultural pride of Macedonia.Some residents in Kastoria, GR somewhat quietly admitted to cultural oppression by the Greek government from the 50s throughout today. Apparently it was taboo to play old Macedonian melodies. Bizarre but true story.

Last part was cut off due to written character limit though I should add, 'Greece' was appointed by the Great Powers, when the Ottoman empire pulled back, it did no further than the classical border of the Macedonian kingdom, this was occupied by the Ottoman Empire until 1913 which was then split and sold to neighboring vulture nations. My cultural background is Bavarian, my father was a mechanical engineer however he was a history buff and used to tell me about the greatness of the Macedonians

Along with accounts from FYROM and Bulgaria, it was evident that the spoken Slavic dialects existed throughout these borders though is believed by many that the termed Slavic was a Roman insult to the Byzantine residents (Macedonians by majority) meaning enslaved people. I did research and found supporting evidence to validate the claims however what about the Cyrillic alphabet? Macedonian brothers named Cyril and Methodius didn't single handedly invent the alphabet, rather they refined it.

Of course there was mixing in the general aspect of things. Although Egypt was famous for making their Pharaohs marry their own sisters and brothers, which was the case for Cleopatra before she saw an opportunity in aligning the Macedonian dynasty of Egypt with the then prevailing Romans (she frolicked with both Julius Caesar, and Mark Antony, and that was for MUTUAL benefit=she wanted to stay in power and keep her traditions, they wanted to mix with the famous MACEDONIANS.)

I'm not siding with anyone here other than what is historically accurate and what was lectured throughout the past 4 years in university. Alexander III was Macedonian, not Greek and not FYROMian. The cultural and national definition 'Greek' or 'Grecian' did not exist then and it's actually a modern classification. What most Greeks don't realize is that their modern 'Greek' is actually a language slvaged from Cypriot and Athenian records and has little in common to do with classical Athenian.

So, according to this great "LOGIC" of yours me and you speaking and writing in English will mean that some historians, let's say 500-1000 years from now claim that me and you were English, American (or any other English speaker of the world), but not Macedonian and Greek..?!?
Do you know that there are many stone inscriptions in the Koine (so-called Greek, which was actually = Phoenician) alphabet from Thrace and Illyria, as well as other places..?!? Does that make them Greek too..?!?

Man, I'm not trying to push my opinion onto you or anyone else here. Was there any inbreeding = probably.
I truly believe that she (as any other monarch) was primarily interested in keeping herself on the throne, and that her ancestry from one of Alexander's generals and later king of Egypt only helped her in doing that.
The Romans were fascinated by both the Egyptian old traditions and the imperial glory of the Macedonians that she embodied and they wanted to emulate.
